This project was a design and build for an eco-friendly cabin for a wellness retreat on the outskirts of
London. The idea behind this was to provide a place for young professionals and couples to escape the
grind of city life and relax amongst nature.
The cabin was designed to be a bright, self-sustaining unit with an in-built kitchenette, wet room,
sleeping and dining space. We removed one of the container wall and replaced it with a full height and
width viewing window, along with a 2-pane sliding door on the side wall. The internal walls were lined
with drywall and painted then we installed laminate flooring.
The unit was constructed from a 20ft shipping container with external red cedar cladding and solar
panels on the roof providing off-grid power.
